BayFiles is a web based file hosting service allowing users to upload, share or transfer large files up to 5GB with other online users, without any signup. The interface is too simple, all you have to do is to browse the specific file and click on the upload button. There is no complex process involved in this web based application to share large files, like almost other file hosting services. Creating login in BayFiles is optional, it will not distract you from file sharing, however if you create it, then you would be able to keep a track on the previously uploaded files into your login. While you click on the upload button, the uploading process starts immediately.
Once the upload process is complete, you will be provided with “Link to the download page”, HTML link, Forum link with which you can share the file with others or submit the HTML or forum link in any web page. There is also a “Delete link” provided with other links, to delete the uploaded file from the file hosting server. There is a direct email link option provided in the right side of the page. You can directly enter the email ID of the person whom you want to share the file in the box provided and click on the send button, then the following person will receive email with the share link and will be able to download the file, by clicking on the provided link in the email.
If you are using the free service then you have to wait for 300 seconds to download the shared file, and if you are a premium member then the download starts at once.
If you have signed up at BayFiles, you will be able to view your uploaded or shared file history once you click on the ‘My Files’ or ‘Your Files’ Tab. (Also view: Backup your important files and documents online)
Beside every file there are show link and delete link option, so as to share or delete the file(s) in future when you login to your BayFiles account. Overall BayFiles is an excellent web application to share large size files, however it is advisable to read the TOS and Privacy Policy, before using the application, as it is subjected to change as per the administrator.
